Novogear

In 1993, Humbel Zahnräder AG founded the subsidiary Novogear spol. s r.o. Based in the Czech city of Frýdek-Místek, the plant is now the Humbel Group's largest production facility. With its stock of modern machinery, Novogear supplies many different industries with gear components and complete drive systems. Within the Humbel Group, Novogear has established itself as a specialist centre for rail vehicles and the plastics industry.

EU Funding Project

1. Cutting-edge gearbox for the plastic industry

Within the scope of an EU funding project, Novogear invested in latest technology and developed a cutting-edge gearbox for the plastic industry.

Project description: The subject of the project is the realization of a photovoltaic system (PV system) with a total output of 425.04 kWp without storage. The building on which the PV system is to be installed serves as a production hall. The electricity generated by the PV system will be used throughout the company premises (consumption point).

Project objectives: The project aims to reduce pollutant emissions through the use of renewable energy and to reduce the company's operating costs.

The project is co-financed by the European Union - construction of new photovoltaic installations; 2.3 Transition to cleaner energy sources.
